Petrina’s life has been entrenched in the professional performing arts industry for nearly five decades. Her remarkable journey has taken her from professional performer to one of Western Australia's leading independent performance producers, now bringing joy to audiences across Australia and beyond through quality concerts and musical productions.

Petrina’s’ journey began with her first solo performance in front of 1000 people, at the Regal Theatre at the very young age of 8!
Petrina realised during this performance that it felt more home to her, than home itself! It was where she belonged.
A DIVA was born!
Petrina began her singing training with Jackie Love, Johnny Young Talent School, where she was a member of the JYTS Performance Troupe, performing for corporate clients, and touring with the Young Talent Team, which meant performing on stage, next to, at the time, the very young, Tina Arena, Kylie Minogue & Danni Minogue.
Classical training began at age 13 under Mr. Richard Len Herr, from there Petrina transferred to Dr. Andrew Foote (Head of Vocal Studies, UWA), for operatic singing & language studies, before finalising her vocal training with Amanda Colliver (Opera Australia) in Sydney, NSW, where Petrina resided for 4 years.
Petrina has been Guest Artist for Orchestral, Big Bands and Choral concerts & recitals as well as taking lead in cabaret & musical theatre productions & revues. She has made Guest Appearances, finding herself in demand on a regular basis, for the corporate market, as well as in the last 10 years, captivating audiences through PETRINA PERFORMS, which she has presented, not as tribute shows, but simply the songs and stories of Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Judy Garland, & Liza Minnelli, in major theatre venues, creating performances that have received standing ovations & encores, ‘Due To Popular Demand’ repeat presentations & cherished testimonials -

The Producer's Vision
From 2022, Petrina expanded her artistic vision by launching the Composer's Concert Series, which brought sold-out, standing ovation professional performances to prestigious venues:
Anything Goes with Cole Porter & The Music of the Night with Lloyd Webber at the Arts & Culture Trust: Downstairs at the Maj, presented on two different occasions, as intimate performances, with two professional performers with grand piano.
An Enchanted Evening with Rodgers & Hammerstein at the Quarry Amphitheatre for three nights, featuring two leading ladies, two leading men, pianist on grand piano, the Dolce String Quartet, 50-person chorus, & the von Trapp children
The Music of the Night with Lloyd Webber on a grander scale at the State Theatre Centre of WA: Heath Ledger Theatre for two nights, featuring three professional performers, a 25-piece orchestra, the WASO Chorus, & one incredible Boy Soprano

A Legacy Reborn
In 2024, following the passing of her beloved mother in August, Petrina took time for reflection. This profound moment led to the decision to rename AKANNA Entertainment—which had served her so well since 2006—to de Lucca International, honouring her mother's French-Italian ancestry from Lucca, Tuscany. This transformation represents not just a tribute to her mother's influence on her musical journey, but also a fresh start and new beginning that honors both family heritage and artistic evolution.
Heritage and Heart
The de Lucca story begins in the rolling hills of Lucca, Italy, where music flowed through our family, with the bloodline going back three centuries.
Petrina’s grandfather, Alfredo de Lucca, carried forward this extraordinary musical bloodline, bringing it to Australia sharing the operatic traditions with his children & then grandchildren.
Those golden childhood moments—nestled on Papa's lap as he called out "Petra! Petra!" with pride, surrounded by family gatherings filled with homemade olive oil, wine, and music around the old piano—became the heartbeat of everything de Lucca International represents today.
Looking Forward
After a year of creative development in 2025, Petrina is preparing to return to the stage in 2026 with renewed vision and purpose. de Lucca International represents the culmination of nearly five decades of artistic excellence, ready to create new magical moments for audiences across Australia and beyond.

A Tribute to
AKANNA
For nearly 20 years, Petrina achieved remarkable success under the umbrella of AKANNA Entertainment, which included a successful music school and talent agency, the AKANNA singing female trio, and more recently PETRINA PERFORMS and the Composer's Concert Series.
We give thanks to AKANNA, the Greek goddess who was the inventor of music and a warrior, for being with Petrina through the good times, helping through the challenging times, and everything else in between that comes in life. As we transition to de Lucca International, we carry forward the strength, creativity, and resilience that AKANNA represented, now combined with the deep family heritage and Italian musical traditions that define our new chapter.
